From 24 July to 30 October 2023, get ready to embark on an incredible journey where your unique ideas will be rewarded. Design using cutting-edge 3D CAD software – DraftSight, 3DEXPERIENCE (X-Apps), and/or SOLIDWORKS – you must create a practical and user-friendly kitchen tool or device for individuals with flexibility, mobility, or physical dexterity issues.

Design with Purpose: Empowering Accessibility and Safety

When crafting your entry, it is important to consider the following:

  • Make sure your device is easy-to-use, especially concerning physical challenges or disabilities
  • Incorporate features that make various kitchen tasks a breeze! (Think of things like adjustable heights, comfortable handles, and intuitive controls)
  • Safety is important! So, include features like automatic shut-off, non-slip bottoms, heat-resistant material, and easy-to-clean surfaces.
  • Immerse yourself in the user experience and aim for a visually appealing design that can seamlessly blend into different kitchen settings.
  • Finally, the product or device should instil confidence, comfort, and a sense of pride in its users.
