“Solid Works uses a simple interface that has powerful features which satisfy the majority of our needs and requirements to produce high quality parts.”
Profibre Products manufactures glass reinforced plastic (fibre glass) products to the automotive, industrial, outdoor, leisure and architectural markets.
The challenge arose when Profibre Products had to manually generate models, for CNC machining, of moulds using their old CAD software. They also had complicated software functionality when verifying design as well as interference in moving components. While using their previous CAD software, they experienced poor Photo Rendering capability for marketing new designs and ideas. It also consisted of complicated modelling interface and poor reference stability in large assemblies.

ICP (integrated Convoy Protection) is a South African based company that designs and produces one of the most impressive armored personnel carriers used in combat today, the REVA.
The acronym REVA stands for reliable, effective, versatile and affordable, personifying the clear mission of the vehicle and its designers – to produce a ballistic and blast-protected carrier that ensures the safety of armed forces and other personnel. In October 2004, a renowned security company identified the need for a vehicle to protect their personnel during the beginning of the Iraqi conflict. Due to the heightened hostility in the territory, an increase in IEDs and sniper fire, as well as the combination of utilization in urban and rural terrain, no existing vehicle could afford them the kind of protection they required.
