Feedscrew addin tutorial: 1 – The basics

Mecad has a feed screw add-in for SOLIDWORKS which gives you the ability to generate a feed screw for arbitrary shapes. This first tutorial covers the basics..really…just the basics

    1. Hi Radu.

      We will contact you shortly about the addin. Currently it has only been compiled / tested with SW 2016 and 2017. But I can give you a trial version of the addin for testing on 2014.

  2. Greetings. My company is very interested in the FeedScrew addin. We have a department dedicated to the design of feed screw (starwheels and other parts commonly used on packaging machinery for companies as Coca Cola), and the implementation of this tool will definitely improve our performance by reducing the time that take us designing this important product for our costumers.

    I’ll apreciate all the information about the adquisition of this tool.

  5. HI, MY NAME IS ANDY. I AM INTERESTED IN THE ADD-IN FOR SOLIDWORKS.
    I AM ALSO INTERESTED IN PROGRAMMING PRODUCT BUILT IN SOLIDWORKS
    IN MASTERCAM. I HAVE WORKED WITH OTHERS TO CREATE MODELS TO USE
    AND ALSO PROGRAM. THE MODEL INCLUDED BARRIERS, BLIND FLIGHTS,
    VAIABLE LEADS, AND VARIABLE/ TAPERED ROOT DIAMETERS. THE MORE
    COMPLEX THE HARDER IT WAS TO TRIM AND KNIT SURFACES TOGETHER.
    PROGRAMMING WAS VERY TEDIOUS. IT SELDOM WAS VERY FRUITFUL.
    I WOULD LIKE TO SEE WAS YUO ARE OFFERING AND IF IT CAN BE EXPANDED

    I’m trying make my feed screws without yours add-in but effects are not perfect.
